Frequently asked questions
Do you have questions about how it works BIOTAR? In this section you will find answers to the most common questions about our system of wastewater treatment.
Is it convenient to separate the black waters of the grey?
The most effective is to treat both water together, however, it is more beneficial to make it one and treated aerobically in the BIOTAR. Here are three reasons:
to Complete Treatment for Grey Water: gray water also contain biological remains in need of treatment. When you redirect the grey water directly into the garden, you run the risk of exposure to these elements. BIOTAR offers a suitable treatment for these components, along with the detergents and soaps.
Snap-in Between Black Water and Grey:
Black waters are rich in organic compounds with carbon, nitrogen, and micronutrients.
The grey waters are rich in phosphorus due to the conventional detergents and have proportionally more water than the black water. Both types of waters, together, they provide the necessary nutrients for microorganisms, allowing a decomposition efficiency of organic matter.
Simplicity and Cost in the Hydraulic Infrastructure: Separate grey and black water involves an investment and complications in the work hydraulics. Driving both waters and the same treatment is more economical and efficient, avoiding duplicate infrastructure and simplifying the process.
Does the water treated by the BIOTAR is safe?
The water treated by the BIOTAR is NOT drinking water, nor should it be used for human use.
The Water treated by BIOTAR, properly employed, it complies with NOM-001-SEMARNAT-2021, so it can be used for subsurface irrigation, or download in goods of the nation such as gullies, soil, streams, lake or the sea.
If you want to reuse, and the water is going to have sporadic contact with the human being (such as watering gardens and toilets), you must comply with the NOM-003-SEMARNAT-1997, for which requiere of a filtration system with zeolite and activated carbon, also provided by us.
What happens if I have a meeting and I exceed the capacity of the BIOTAR?
The ability of the BIOTAR is to be calculated based on the peak flow, not only in the consumption average, in order to avoid overloading.
For example, a house with 4 people generates about 800 L daily, so it is recommended to a BIOTAR of 3 modules (1,050 L/day), leaving a margin of safety for visits or events.
If the BIOTAR is exceeded temporarily, can lead to collapse and generate odors by the reduction of the residence time. In this case, you must apply an extra dose of Polydex, proportional to the excess of water (example: 2.85 ml additional 1,000 L extra).
This adjustment should be made only occasionally, because frequent use can affect the efficiency of the system.
It is recommended to install flow meters input and output to control the volume treated and prevent overloads.
Is it possible to use BIOTAR in restaurants, hotels or lounges of events?
Yes, BIOTAR can be used in restaurants, hotels and salons of events, provided that the volume of wastewater does not exceed 3,000 liters per day and perform the necessary adaptations.
If the volume exceeds this limit, it is recommended to install a Plant of Wastewater Treatment (WWTP), as these establishments typically generate a organic load much higher than a home. To know the ideal choice for your project, refer to the section of WWTP.
Essential tips for the use of BIOTAR
How to live with a BIOTAR
To ensure optimal performance of the system BIOTAR, follow these key guidelines:
- Regular Monitoring: Verify that you do not enter the system toilet paper, wet wipes, sanitary towels, latex, polyurethane, or plastic.
- Use of Biodegradable Products: Choose cleaning products that do not contain chemicals that mention that eliminate 99.99% of bacteria.
- Avoid Waste that is Not Natural: do Not enter fats, oils in exxeso or aggressive chemicals in the system.
- Family education: Share how it works BIOTAR with all members of the household.
By following these steps, you will help care for the environment, and to the maximum performance of your system.
Periodic Monitoring
Regularly reviews the levels of water in the BIOTAR to avoid problems.
Responsible Use
Using biodegradable products to protect the system and the environment.
